In that case I wouldn't have even spoken. If you are talking ultimately and solely about sim/real car realism then that's fine but it doesn't exist in a game no matter how we'd like to believe so. But when does that kick in, when we hit a rock and without a doubt in the world can categorically say we ALL do 'feel it' when it's smashing wheels and breaking wrists. I absolutely can tell the difference between asphalt and any other way more rougher terrain with the ability to 'zone out' all other sources. The more I read posts here the more I think there must be a mix up/confusion here as I can't believe some would suggest there is no feedback at the steering wheel.

Remember my post was 90% in reply to your post #4. I wasn't saying other force/sources don't exist which could be confused but I was saying there is still 'some' through the wheel and tyres and to the steering wheel eventually.

It was purposely a little sarcastic for the point I was making. In my mind when I mentioned the 4x4 road cars it was an example of me suggesting 'luxury' cars may remove much of the 'feeling' though much damping 'systems' and for the conversation to be speaking about rally cars. As for realistic well we aren't ever going to get realism so I expect we are all talking about game/simulation realism which should be taken with a pinch of salt That of which is currently called force feedback in this gaming arena. I absolutely disagree that just because I didn't touch this area (all possible feedback through the many possible routes) I was still talking about feedback though the tyre, column to the steering wheel. If I am correct I expected a post like this would crop up. Just for me to be clearer as I think I understand what you are saying but am not overly sure.
